Volume Oscillator expresses the difference between short and long volume MAs as a percentage of the long MA — a clean volume momentum gauge. - Positive = short-term volume running hotter than the long-term baseline. - Negative = short-term volume cooling; watch for a return to zero or a crossover as the trigger.
Elder's Force Index smooths (close - close[1]) × volume — combines price change with volume to express the force behind every move. - Above zero = bulls in force; below zero = bears in force. - Sharp divergences against price often precede the next day's reversal.
Chaikin Money Flow is the ratio of accumulation-flow volume to total volume over the lookback — bounded around zero, with +0.2 and -0.2 as common signal thresholds. - Sustained CMF 0.2 = strong accumulation. - Sustained CMF < -0.2 = strong distribution; rallies on the failed CMF tend to die fast.
A/D Oscillator subtracts a slow EMA of the A/D line from a fast EMA — converts the cumulative accumulation/distribution into a momentum-style oscillator. - Above zero = buyers winning; below zero = sellers winning. - Crossovers are timing tools for the broader trend.

Relative Vigor Index (RVI) compares the close-to-close move against the high-low range. Efficiency Ratio is Kaufman's ratio of net price movement to total path. 100 = perfectly straight, 0 = pure noise. - Above 30 = trending, below 30 = chop. - Raise Length for steadier readings. - Filter all your other systems by it — only take signals when ER 30.

Awesome Oscillator (AO) is the difference between the 5-bar and 34-bar SMA of the mid-price (hlc3). Ultimate Oscillator blends buying pressure across 7, 14 and 28 bar windows with weights 4:2:1.
